Radical Cacao with Nicole Worthington

Hi Friends!

Happy February and happy unofficial month of chocolate! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Nicole and I teach culinary classes, create culinary blends for the shop, and have my own a plant based food and beverage company here in Portland, Radical Foods.

I currently have two products – super rad herbal coffee, Radical Roast, and a nutrient dense hot chocloate mix, Radical Cacao. (Hot chocolate for you or your sweetie, anyone??)

Both of these adaptogenic blends contain raw fair trade cacao, Reishi mushroom & or Lion’s Mane mushroom, and gentle liver toning herbs like burdock, dandelion, and chicory. These antioxidant blends can help with stress, immune support and digestion.

Soooo……Herbal Coffee: What the heck is it?

Herbal coffee is a coffee alternative that is often made with roasted dandelion root and or chicory root to emulate the flavor of regular coffee.

Radical Roast is a full-bodied, low acid, no caffeine crash, antioxidant packed robust beverage for anytime packed with:

Chicory Root

Roasted Dandelion Root

Reishi mushroom (for increased ability to adapt to stress, boosted immunity)

Lion’s Mane Mushroom (for it’s regenerative cognitive supporting abilities, helping with “being on point”)

Raw Fair trade Cacao powder (antixodiants!)

Fair trade Maca

Burdock Root  (liver toning!)

Radical Cacao– Antioxidant Rich Hot Chocolate Blend

Radical Cacao is a delicious hot chocolate blend made from pure raw cacao, adaptogenic Reishi, and revitalizing Maca with a hint of cinnamon and coconut sugar.  Delicious anytime, sip on Radical Cacao for a chocolatey antioxidant boost!

I am so excited to share them with the world, and they are available at The Herb Shoppe!

Nicole Worthington

Nicole Worthington has been drawn to the Pacific Northwest much of her life, but finally made the jump to Portland a few summers back. With a background in cooking, Yoga, and the healing power of food, Herbalism has been a wonderful addition to her life energetically and physically. The plants have provided much solace and healing during a time of loss and grief, as well as providing overall balance in the body and mind. Nicole is confident that Herbalism is the Peoples’ Medicine, and by making a cup of tea you are already denying oppressive systems that reject self care and complete wellness. Nicole has learned much from the plants and spends time honoring, listening, and being open to all the wisdom they have to offer. Nicole feels blessed to continue her journey with all the beautiful beings here at The Herb Shoppe and is excited to share the knowledge and insight she has learned with an open heart and mind.

When Nicole is not learning from the plants, she can be found immersed in a thrift store, goofing around with friends, or listening to records while playing in the kitchen. :)
