One of my favorite ways to surprise folks with herbal medicine is will Elderberry Syrup. Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) is a strong antiviral berry with a delicious flavor and immune boosting properties. You can add a little bit to your daily rituals, top off delightful desserts or add to any smoothie to keep yourself and your family well. We have our own in house blend of herbs that you can easily create a batch of your own Immune boosting syrup called Elderberry blast or get creative and make your own blend. Make yourself a batch of Elderberry Blast Syrup. A delicious combination of flavor and vitamin C. Give your body a little extra boost to stay well this season. Creating syrups is fun and delicious, make a batch for yourself and all your loved ones. Traditionally syrups were created as another way to help preserve herbs. What a delicious way to stay well! Herbal Syrup Recipe Ingredients: 4 cups cold water 2 cups dried elderberry blast blend Raw local honey (to taste) Step1: Bring herbs and water to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for about 30-40 minutes. Remove from heat. Let cool to room temperature. Step 2: Take cheese cloth and a strainer to press all the berries until all the juice is out of them. Measure out how much Elderberry Blast you created. Step 3: Add a ¼-1/2 of honey to the amount of Elderberry Blast. Put all the Elderberry Blast and Honey into a pot. Warm up enough to melt the honey and liquid together. Bottle and label!
